Irrigation System Revamps & Replacement

When repairs stop making sense, we rebuild the system the right way.

Some systems are past the point of another patch — 30-year-old galvanized lines, poly laterals that split every summer, valve banks that leak faster than we can rebuild them, or a layout that never covered the yard to begin with. A revamp keeps what's still good, replaces what isn't, and redesigns zones so coverage is finally even. We'll tell you honestly whether a repair or a revamp is the better use of your money.

What we fix and handle

Zones that never covered the yard

Too many heads on one zone, wrong nozzles, or bad spacing. We recalculate and re-zone so each area gets head-to-head coverage.

Failing mainline & laterals

Repeated breaks in old poly or galvanized pipe. We replace runs with properly sized PVC and solvent-welded fittings.

Old valve banks

Corroded, buried, or unreachable valves get replaced with a clean, accessible manifold in a proper valve box.

Non-compliant backflow

Missing or failed backflow assemblies replaced with a code-compliant preventer to protect your water supply.

Outdated controllers

Replace dying timers with modern controllers, including Wi-Fi models, and program schedules for our climate.

Landscape changes

New beds, patios, sod or trees mean the old layout no longer fits. We adapt zones and add drip where planting changed.

How we diagnose the problem

  • We map your existing system: zone count, head types, pipe material, valve locations and controller condition.
  • Static pressure and available flow are measured to see what the system can actually support.
  • We identify what's salvageable — often mainline and boxes — and what must be replaced.
  • You get an honest repair-vs-revamp comparison, including what repeated repairs are likely to cost.
  • A written revamp quote follows within 5 business days of the design visit.

Frequently asked questions

Is a revamp cheaper than a new system?
Usually, because we reuse what is still sound — often the mainline, boxes and sleeves — and replace only the failing components. The quote spells out exactly what is being replaced.
How do I know if I need a revamp instead of repairs?
If you're paying for multiple repair visits a season, have chronic dry spots that no adjustment fixes, or your system predates modern PVC and valves, a revamp usually costs less over a few seasons.
Can you work in phases?
Yes. Many customers revamp the worst zones first and finish the rest the following season.
Do you handle backflow compliance?
Yes. We install and repair code-compliant backflow assemblies as part of revamp work.
